Employment Letter Translation Service for UKVI

Your boss wrote the letter to help you. In another language it does nothing at all. UKVI has to read your job title, your pay, your start date and the name at the bottom. That is what a certified employment letter translation gives them, in the words a caseworker already knows.

Nurses and carers send us theirs. So do site engineers, drivers, chefs, teachers and people whose partner is sponsoring them. Letters come from the Philippines, Poland, Romania, India, Nepal, Egypt, Italy and Spain. Sponsors, NHS trusts, universities and mortgage lenders all take the same English copy.

  • Your job title stays yours — a foreign role is explained, never swapped for a loose UK one
  • Pay figures left alone — the amount, the currency and the pay period go across untouched
  • Letterhead and stamp copied — company seal, HR signature and footer all written out
  • We flag a weak letter — no signature or no date, and you hear it before we start
  • Old letters still count — a company that shut down years ago does not erase your service
  • Back the same working day — one sheet is our quickest job, and sponsors chase hard

Visa Routes That Need An Employment Letter Translation

Skilled Worker Visas

Backing up the years of work your Certificate of Sponsorship is built on.

Health And Care Workers

Ward and clinic service letters that an NHS trust or a care home has asked to see.

Spouse And Partner Visas

The employer note that sits behind the income rule on a family application.

Global Talent And Senior Roles

Reference letters that show how senior you really were, not just what you were called.

Visitor And Business Trips

Leave approval showing you have a job to go back to when the trip ends.

Switching Sponsor

Your Employer Letter Translation, From Upload To Inbox

Most letters are one or two sheets, so this is our quickest job. Send it before lunch and you usually have the English copy before you clock off. A pair like Polish to English translation often goes out in a few hours.

1

Send the signed sheet

Snap the whole page, letterhead and footer included. If HR stamped the back, send that side too. A plain email with no signature on it is rarely accepted by anyone.

Skilled Worker, spouse or visitor, each one is read for different things. Once we know the route, the translator can point out anything missing before you send it in.

Get it stamped and signed

The English letter arrives by email with the accuracy line on it. Sponsors and NHS recruiters sometimes want paper they can keep, and that is posted out free.

Checks Behind Every Work Reference Translation We Send

A caseworker cannot ring your old manager in another country. So they judge the paper instead. It comes down to a short list, and one gap sends the file back weeks later. All of it goes on the copy you get from our registered linguists.

  • A line saying it is true and full
  • The day the work was finished
  • The translator's name, written out
  • A signature you can see
  • A phone number and an email that work
  • Proof the translator is qualified
  • Company paper on every page
  • No tie to you or your employer

Start Date Near? Job Letter Translation In Hours

Sponsors chase paperwork and start dates almost never move. One sheet is usually back the same working day, ready to forward straight to compliance. Tell us your date before you pay and you will get a plain yes or no.

Employment Contract Translation Cost, And What Moves It

A one line confirmation is not the same job as a twelve page contract. So a flat rate would be unfair to somebody. Here is what we count instead. Each figure is a starting point, and your real total comes back once the pages are open in front of us.

What affects your price Starts from Why it moves up or down

Experience Certificate Translation In Your Workplace Language

Job titles almost never match from one country to the next. A senior specialist abroad may sit above a UK manager, or well below one. Get that wrong and your years look thinner than they are. Our people come from those same workplaces, so the level carries across, with a short note where a role has no English name. The pairs below are the ones we see most.

Case 02 — Poland

My trust wanted proof of five years on a surgical ward. They kept my real job title instead of turning it into something vague, and recruitment took it straight away.

Four pages of contract, back before the end of the day. My sponsor had already asked twice, so the speed genuinely saved my start date.

My old company shut down and I could not get a new letter. They did the eight year old one exactly as it was and explained what the stamp said.

Letters from three different jobs in one order. The lower rate came off by itself and I never had to ask for it.

They spotted that my letter had no signature and told me before starting. I went back to HR, got it signed, and dodged a refusal I never saw coming.

My boss wrote half the letter in English and half in Russian. They did the whole sheet so it finally read as one document.

Employment Letter Translation Questions We Get Weekly

These come in from people with the letter already open in front of them. Not the basics, but the small points that decide whether a sponsor or a caseworker takes it.

My job title has no real English version. What happens to it?

+
We keep the title as it stands and add a short line saying what the job involved. Swapping it for the nearest British job name would quietly change how senior you look, and that is the very thing a sponsor is reading for.

Can my boss just write the letter in English instead?

+
They can, and if the company really works in English that is fine. But a letter written in broken English by an office that does not usually use it tends to raise more doubt than the original with a proper translation clipped to it.

Do you turn my salary into pounds?

+
No. The figure and the currency stay exactly as your employer typed them. Converting would mean picking an exchange rate out of the air, and if it did not match your payslips the whole file starts to look shaky.

Can payslips and a salary certificate go in the same order?

+
Yes, and it is the smart way to do it. The letter says what you should be paid. The payslips show what actually landed. Sent together they cost less than two orders and they answer the question before it is asked.

My letter has no company stamp on it. Is that a problem?

+
It depends where it came from. British firms rarely stamp anything, and nobody expects them to. In much of Asia, the Gulf and eastern Europe a letter without a stamp looks unfinished to the people who issued it. If yours is missing one, we will say so before you send it in.

Will you tell me if something is missing from the letter?

+
Always. No signature, no date, no company details, and you hear about it before we start. Going back to HR costs you a day. Going back after a refusal costs months, and the application fee with it.

My employer is abroad and wants the letter in their language.

+
We work that way round too. UK reference letters go out into Arabic, Polish, Spanish and plenty more for employers and immigration offices overseas. Some of those want a seal on top, so tell us the country and we will say what it really needs.

Does the same copy work for the NMC or a professional body?

+
Usually yes. Nursing and medical registers, engineering bodies and UK ENIC all want the translator named with contact details on the page, which is standard on ours. Tell us who is reading it and the last page is set out to suit them.
